Modbus refers to a protocol often used for industrial applications for communication between devices, often within a closed network i.e. without an active internet connection.

To set up a gateway for modbus communication, select the ‘Setup Modbus Server’ and select your gateway from the available gateways shown in Image 'Available Gateways' .

If you are unable to find the desired gateway, ensure the gateway is powered and select the 'refresh' icon to update the list of available gateways.

After selecting your gateway, the interface shown in Image 'Modbus Server Setup' shall be available, with the options to:

Enable the Modbus server option (Disabled by default)
Select the sensor type:
- Structure
- Bearing (Tau Bearing or Kappa X)
Enter up to 20 sensor IDs within the allocated cells.

Upon completion, select ‘Save’ to implement the changes.
