Check RF Connection
You may be experiencing a poor RF connection if you are seeing a lack of data. This could be gaps in your short interval data or missing waveforms/spectra.
The most common cause of this is usually the distance between the sensor and gateway. Usually this is no problem, but when you include factors such as obstructions between the two devices, other signals being broadcasted around the devices or poor positioning of the gateway itself.
To improve the RF connection between the sensor and gateway, we recommend exploring the following solutions:
Gateway and Sensor Adjustment: Try repositioning the gateway or adjusting the sensor's orientation on the machine. This simple step may significantly improve the connection. The gateway should be installed at height and the antennas should be pointed vertically. Antennas should also be as far away from power cables and in free air.
External RF Antenna: Consider utilising our external RF antenna, specifically designed to enhance the RF range of the gateway. This could prove to be an effective solution in stabilising the signal strength. This is used when the signal can not be improved due to obstructions or if the distance between the sensor and gateway is too great.
To assist us in a more comprehensive analysis, kindly share some images of the installation, highlighting the sensor's placement, its surroundings, and any potential obstructions between the sensor and gateway. It will help greatly to also include an image of the gateway installation.
