Introduction
Kappa X provides real-time environmental and tri-axial vibration data with the data being used as input into a ‘Condition-based monitoring’ methodology. An array of up to 20 Kappa X sensors, coupled with a gateway, can assess a fleet of machines simultaneously, with the resulting metrics determining service intervals, component wear and operating efficiency. Given the diversity associated with the targeted machine applications, it is difficult to offer a ‘one size fits all’ approach.
The latest updates to Kappa X allow for a sensor to be adjusted for optimal performance with respect to the monitored machine.
The Kappa X Config App enables:
The use of sensor configurations to suit an array of applications.
Reading of previously configured sensors, showing their implemented parameters.
Access new features and updates through firmware updates.
Features to help a user set up their new Kappa X Sensors, including ‘Sensor Wake’ and ‘Install Assist’, providing verification of sensor mounting and positioning.
